By making and purchasing things made from wood we can avoid needing products made from carbon emitting steel, concrete or plastic



Increasing Carbon Sinks

Europe's forests are growing by 1 wooden single family house every second.  With such substantial overall growth, the managed forests in Europe have become an enormous carbon sink.

The forests in Europe are growing, accounting for the afforestation portion of the graph besides. What's more is that they are also being used, so the net growth is tremendous.
