Wooden Hotel Key Cards Win Praise on Earth Day
This Earth Day guests checking into hotels in San Francisco, Austin and Denver were handed something new, different and almost entirely compostable---wooden key cards produced by Sustainable Cards.

“They’re works of art. The graphics are vibrant and the grain of the wood is beautiful,” says the director of operations for Westin Tabor Center in Denver, Colorado. On Earth Day, Schuringa’s hotel proudly displayed wooden signs at their front desk explaining the environmental benefits of the wooden key cards.
The commemorative 2010 Earth Day card featured an intricately designed tree with environmental symbols and the words, “Recycle, Reuse. Reduce. Mother Earth thanks you, and so do we.”
